After reading Greenies blog (www.greenieinthewild.blogspot.co.uk) about the Clouded Yellow Butterfly, I commented that it has been many years since my last sighting. In fact it was way back in 2006 on the 23rd July at Oare Marsh, when Pam and I use to man the watch house visitors centre. I managed to get one photo of it before it flew off which I have posted below. The photo was take with a Nikon E995 which I bought secondhand to try my hand at digiscoping, I never could get the hang of it.
I wouldn't normally write such a short post on here, but reading about the Clouded Yellow Butterfly that has been photographed, by Martin (great photo by the way) and talked about reminded me of the first and last time I saw one.
Great shot Ken,one of my favourite Butterflies.

ReplyDeleteCute butterfly and wonderful picture. Yours
It's one of those species that you always remember Ken. I've only seen a few but I did see one at Dungeness last week.
